Basketball Recap: Golden City Takes a Loss

Golden City lost against Northeast Vernon County back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden City Eagles received a blow as they fell 53-39 to the Northeast Vernon County Knights.

When it comes to explaining why Golden City lost, don't look at Spencer Parrill. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points and four steals. Parrill is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brendon Maneval, who put up eight points.

Golden City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Northeast Vernon County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Golden City will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Everton at 6:00 p.m. Golden City is facing Everton at the right time seeing as Everton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northeast Vernon County, they will head out on the road to square off against Montrose/Ballard at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th.
