Basketball Recap: Macks Creek Pirates vs. Chadwick Cardinals
Make it 15 blowout wins for the Macks Creek Pirates this season. They put the hurt on Chadwick with a sharp 65-43 win on Tuesday. Macks Creek's victory was all the more impressive since the Cardinals were averaging only 27.72 points allowed on the season.
Macks Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was India Willis, who almost dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Willis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Ratliff, who scored 23 points.
Macks Creek pushed their record up to 17-3 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.5 points. As for Chadwick, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
Macks Creek is on the road again on Monday and plays the Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th. Dadeville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 514th, while the Pirates are ranked 85th). As for Chadwick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
