Basketball Recap: McKeel Academy Wildcats vs. Auburndale Bloodhounds
Even though the McKeel Academy Wildcats have not done well against the Auburndale Bloodhounds recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. McKeel Academy came out on top against the Bloodhounds by a score of 51-39. The win was familiar territory for McKeel Academy who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Alex Sessoms, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was David St. Jean, who scored 11 points.
McKeel Academy pushed their record up to 17-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Auburndale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
McKeel Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Braves at 7:30 p.m. As for Auburndale, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Bartow presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bloodhounds in Florida (the Yellow Jackets are ranked 121st, while the Bloodhounds are ranked 414th).
