Volleyball Recap: Redington Comes Up Short

Redington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Redington sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11.

Redington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Cook Inlet Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Cook Inlet Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Cordova on the 26th. Hopefully Redington paid attention to the Eagles' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
