Baseball Recap: East Stroudsburg North Takes a Loss

East Stroudsburg North extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping their season record down to 3-16 in the process. They came up short against the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

As for East Stroudsburg South, their record now sits at 12-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the game before.

For East Stroudsburg South's part, Aaron Kasperski made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Kasperski has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aidan Cruz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Eric Zall also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Coming up, East Stroudsburg North is taking a road trip to challenge Pocono Mountain West at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Timberwolves are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. East Stroudsburg South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
