Basketball Recap: Buckingham Charter Takes a Loss

Buckingham Charter lost against Valley Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Buckingham Charter Knights lost 70-46 to the Valley Christian Lions. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Becker, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 19 points along with five boards and four steals. Becker's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Shevchuck, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Buckingham Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Valley Christian, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.

Buckingham Charter will venture away from home to take on Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buckingham Charter is facing Faith Christian at the right time seeing as Faith Christian is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Valley Christian, they will welcome Sacramento Adventist at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season.
