Football Recap: Battle Creek Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Battle Creek can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds and fell 70-7. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-7.

Colten Barba threw for 104 yards and one touchdown. Chris Lemming was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and one TD.

CA'MAURI BELL was a one-man wrecking crew For Pearl-Cohn. as he rushed for 83 yards and one score on only six carries, and also threw for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight passes. Omarion Starnes was in the mix too, providing the Firebirds with two TDs.

Battle Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Pearl-Cohn, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
