Volleyball Recap: Springboro Takes a Loss

Springboro managed to slip by Lakota East the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Thunderhawks on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured nine defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Springboro took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 28-26.

Bre Given paced Springboro's offense, picking up ten kills. Given got some help from Lily Mercer and her 25 assists. Given also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophia Moore, racking up two apiece.

Springboro's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Springboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Sycamore on the 21st. As for Lakota East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Milford on the 23rd.
