Basketball Recap: North Zulch Bulldogs vs. Still Creek Christian Colts
North Zulch took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (barely). They had just enough and edged the Still Creek Christian Colts out 49-47. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Still Creek Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeremy Reed, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Reed a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Jaiden Simpson, who went 6 for 13 en route to 15 points plus six assists and three steals.
Still Creek Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Zulch will venture away from home to face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Still Creek Christian, their road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Joseph Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
