Basketball Recap: John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles vs. John Marshall Lawyers
The John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles lost against the John Marshall Lawyers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. John F. Kennedy took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawyers.
John F. Kennedy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Precious Elam, who scored 17 points. Elam hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Shanaiya Ford, who scored 17 points.
John F. Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for John Marshall, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John F. Kennedy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Scarabs at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for John Marshall, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m.
