Football Recap: St. Stephen's Episcopal Takes a Loss

After flying high against Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin two weeks ago, St. Stephen's Episcopal came back down to earth. The Spartans were dealt a 60-26 defeat at the hands of the TMI-Episcopal Panthers on Thursday. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead TMI-Episcopal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Anderson, who picked up 175 receiving yards and four TDs. Anderson was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 64 yards. Hagen Young was another key signal caller, throwing for 324 yards and four touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Stephen's Episcopal fell to 5-1. As for TMI-Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, St. Stephen's Episcopal will square off against St. Francis Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for TMI-Episcopal, they will challenge Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Panthers are facing the Raptors at the right time seeing as the Raptors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
