Softball Recap: Flour Bluff Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

Flour Bluff won the last time they faced Alice and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hornets put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 10-3 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kenzie O'Brien spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Flour Bluff got a massive performance out of Allison Ramos, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Ramos has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Mayo, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Flour Bluff is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.9 runs. As for Alice, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.

Flour Bluff has already played their next contest (against Ray), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Alice, they will face off against Gregory-Portland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Coyotes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
