After a string of 11 wins, Greenfield's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the John Paul II Catholic Saints. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 17-3 to the Saints when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greenfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clark Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Johnson also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Greenfield's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 13-3. As for John Paul II Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

While Greenfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
