Basketball Recap: Mary Walker Takes a Loss

Mary Walker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 77-33 loss at the hands of the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-16.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andru Pinyan, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Z'Andre Barker, who put up six points.

Mary Walker's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Mary Walker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-49 defeat against Odessa on the 14th. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-39 win against Valley Christian on the 14th.
