Softball Recap: West Forsyth's Undefeated Season over After 18 Games

West Forsyth fell victim to Forbush and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Titans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Forsyth fell to 17-1. As for Forbush, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

West Forsyth and Forbush should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Titans (ranked fourth) will meet Glenn (ranked 129th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (West Forsyth 1.2, the Bobcats 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Forbush will face off against Wilkes Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (66 vs. 389).
