Softball Recap: Millis Starts Season with Win Against Northbridge

Millis took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Northbridge Rams 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mohawks have posted since May 2, 2024.

Keira Davis was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Molly Rand, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millis is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Mansfield at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northbridge, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Auburn at 3:30 p.m. on April 2.
