Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Mcallen Memorial's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

McAllen Memorial proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 44) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders 37-35. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Raiders back in December of 2024, they had to take a 56-53 defeat.

McAllen Memorial is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-11 record this season. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 23-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing McAllen the next time they take the court. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will host McAllen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while McAllen Memorial will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
