Recap: Erie First Christian Academy vs. Harding Raiders

Erie First Christian Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Harding, falling 76-37. While losing is never fun, Erie First Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 607th in Pennsylvania, while Harding is ranked 73rd in Ohio).

Erie First Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Avery Collins, who scored 14 points. The contest was Collins' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Tyshaun Tate was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.

Erie First Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Harding, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erie First Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sharon at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Sharon is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Harding, they will head out on the road to face off against Austintown-Fitch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
