Baseball Game Preview: Gulf Breeze Dolphins vs. Pace Patriots

The Gulf Breeze Dolphins will face off against the Pace Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gulf Breeze has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Pace will come in with four straight victories.

On Wednesday, Gulf Breeze came up short against West Florida and fell 9-5.

Tommy Regan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Jake Hooten was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pace). They never let Harrison County get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Pace's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Gulf Breeze, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Gulf Breeze was able to grind out a solid win over Pace in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 4-0. Do the Dolphins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
