Basketball Recap: Cumberland Academy Takes a Loss

Cumberland Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and the Carthage Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Cumberland Academy Knights falling 67-50. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 67-53.

Cumberland Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Carthage, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.

Cumberland Academy will host Gilmer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carthage has already played their next game (against Pine Tree), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
