Basketball Recap: Boiling Springs' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Boiling Springs got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They secured a 38-33 W over the Eastside Eagles on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Leading Boiling Springs to victory were Karina Tsisun and Makenzie Kinard. Tsisun dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 boards, while Kinard went 6 of 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to six boards and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kinard has scored at least a third of Boiling Springs' points.

Boiling Springs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why Eastside lost, don't look at Kristen McBride. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 11 on her way to 14 points and four steals.

Boiling Springs' record is now 6-8. As for Eastside, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Boiling Springs will square off against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. One thing working in Riverside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Eastside, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-51 loss against Woodmont on the 13th.
