Football Game Preview: Gold Beach/Pacific vs. Coquille

On Friday Gold Beach/Pacific will take on Coquille at 7:00 PM. Gold Beach/Pacific aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.

Gold Beach/Pacific took an ego-bruising defeat against Toledo two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Thursday. Gold Beach/Pacific were able to grind out a solid victory over Reedsport last Thursday, winning 34-26. The win was a breath of fresh air for Gold Beach/Pacific as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Coquille might be getting used to good results now that the squad has three wins in a row. They were the clear victor by a 37-7 margin over Lakeview. The rankings were on Coquille's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.

Their wins bumped Gold Beach/Pacific to 1-5 and Coquille to 5-2. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Gold Beach/Pacific and Coquille clash.
