Basketball Game Preview: Harrisville Pirates vs. Bolton Central Eagles

The Harrisville Pirates will square off against the Bolton Central Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Harrisville heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Tuesday. They lost 61-35 to Potsdam. The Pirates have struggled against the Sandstoners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Bolton Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their 17-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 76-62 bruising from Moriah. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (60), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jaxon Egloff and Cooper Allen. Allen had a great game and almost dropped a double-double with 38 points and nine rebounds. Meanwhile, Egloff did his best for the losing side, putting up eight points.

Harrisville's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Bolton Central, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 14-1 and their overall record down to 21-2.
