Baseball Recap: Wheatland Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wheatland can now relate to. They came up short against the Hughson Huskies on Thursday, falling 12-2. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Wheatland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Hanley, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Wheatland's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-10-1. As for Hughson, their record now sits at 27-6.

As of now, neither Wheatland nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
