Recap: Newington Nor'easters vs. Bristol Central Rams        
        
		
            
 The Newington Nor'easters waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with six straight wins  but they left with seven. They were the clear victor by a  54-34 margin over Bristol Central. Newington has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  matches by 20  points or more this season.
 Leading Newington to victory were  Kendall Miller and  Bela Cucuta.  Miller  scored 13 points along with five  steals and four  blocks, while  Cucuta  scored 27 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which  Cucuta has scored at least a third of Newington's points.  Haylie Sanchez was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
 Newington's win was  their 14th straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Bristol Central, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
 Newington will be playing in front of their home fans against RHAM at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. RHAM is coming into the  game on a three-game losing streak. Bristol Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Maloney at 6:45  p.m.  on January 22nd. Maloney is coming into the  contest on a four-game losing streak.
