Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Roosevelt won the last time they faced Fresno and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Roosevelt Rough Riders strolled past the Fresno Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. Given the Rough Riders' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Warriors are ranked 624th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cobi Posas, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Darreon Wheaton, who posted ten points and eight assists.

Roosevelt's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points over those games. As for Fresno, they now have a losing record of 13-14.
