Basketball Recap: Whitnall Finds Home Court Redemption Against Greenfield

There's no place like home for Whitnall, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They took down the Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks 48-32 on Friday. The Falcons' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

It was another big night for Riley Ward, who shot 6-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in January. Kylee Sias-Chaney also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Whitnall now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Greenfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Whitnall will take on Milwaukee Lutheran in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenfield and Shorewood will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greyhounds' defense has only allowed 22.1 points per game this season, so the Hustlin' Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
