Basketball Recap: Moreau Catholic's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

With a playoff win on the line, Moreau Catholic rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Dougherty Valley Wildcats by a score of 84-76. The win was nothing new for the Mariners as they're now sitting on seven straight.

It was another big night for Kellen Hampton, who dropped a double-double with 42 points and 13 boards. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Clendinen, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Moreau Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive matches.

Moreau Catholic's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-5. As for Dougherty Valley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 24-9 record.

Coming up, Moreau Catholic will take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 25 games -- so hopefully Moreau Catholic likes a good challenge.
