Volleyball Game Preview: Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves vs. McIntosh Tigers

The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves will venture away from home to challenge the McIntosh Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte came up short against Mobridge-Pollock on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-6.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when McIntosh duked it out with Timber Lake on Thursday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-21 in the first set.

McIntosh started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-20.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for McIntosh, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte came out on top in a nail-biter against McIntosh in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
