Preview: Vincennes Lincoln Alices vs. Barr-Reeve Vikings
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Barr-Reeve Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on December 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Vincennes Lincoln is ranked 224th, while Barr-Reeve is ranked 237th).
Last Tuesday, Vincennes Lincoln took a serious blow against Evansville Memorial, falling 69-39.
Meanwhile, Barr-Reeve struggled with assists on Saturday (Paoli had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Barr-Reeve fell to Paoli 37-32. Barr-Reeve has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Liv Emmons, who scored 12 points. She scored a full 37.5% of Barr-Reeve's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Willow Thompson, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Vincennes Lincoln's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-7. As for Barr-Reeve, they bumped their record down to 5-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
