Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Beech

Franklin has won six straight games at home, while Beech has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Admirals will host the Buccaneers at 12:00 p.m. Beech took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Franklin, who comes in off a win.

Franklin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Ravenwood, who was ranked 11th at the time (Franklin was ranked first). The Admirals never let the Raptors get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Franklin's winning goal came courtesy of Tristiano Alfano.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Beech's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Hendersonville, falling 8-3. Surprisingly, this marked Beech's third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-0-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 53 goals over those 12 contests. As for Beech, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-2.

Franklin took their victory against Beech when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 5-0 score. Do the Admirals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
