Baseball Recap: Unioto Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Unioto barely beat Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Shermans were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Indians on Monday. The Shermans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

KB Perkins made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Keegan Snyder, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caden Cutright, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Unioto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory was the tenth in a row for Unioto, bringing their record up to 20-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

Unioto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley, they will welcome Zane Trace at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
