Baseball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for St. Cloud

St. Cloud had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They never let Varsity Opponent get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Monday.

Nate Muniz looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cole Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luis Ecarri, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

St. Cloud always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
