Basketball Recap: Lake Catholic's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lake Catholic needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Ace Peterlin. The Lake Catholic Cougars took down the John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles 57-42 on Saturday thanks in part to Peterlin, who went 12 for 18 on his way to 30 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.3 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Webb, who posted six points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Lake Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for John F. Kennedy, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lake Catholic Cougars take on the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John F. Kennedy, they will square off against Garrett Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garrett Morgan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully John F. Kennedy likes a good challenge.
