Softball Recap: Mendota Takes a Loss

Mendota fell victim to Dos Palos and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Broncos, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Aztecs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mendota's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Dos Palos, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mendota will challenge rival Coalinga at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dos Palos is set to square off against their familiar foe Tranquillity at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Broncos' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
