Basketball Game Preview: Dekaney Wildcats vs. MacArthur Generals

Dekaney hasn't had much luck against MacArthur recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dekaney Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the MacArthur Generals at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Dekaney is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 47-25 loss courtesy of Spring.

Meanwhile, MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 42-24 to Westfield. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1215th, while the Mustangs are ranked 258th).

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Dekaney, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Dekaney took a serious blow against MacArthur when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 50-23. Can Dekaney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
