Volleyball Recap: South Aiken Takes a Loss

South Aiken was the 2-1 winner over Lexington when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Thoroughbreds fell 2-0 to the Wildcats on Wednesday. The Thoroughbreds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Lexington to victory were Juliette Grandjean and Mattie Lanham. Grandjean had nine digs and three assists, while Lanham had three digs and two aces. Carson Moody also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

South Aiken's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lexington, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

South Aiken didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Airport on the 4th. As for Lexington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Dorman on the 5th.
