Fulshear waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Barbers Hill Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Barbers Hill lost, don't look at Mina Ludwig. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and three aces. Kenli Irwin also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Fulshear's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Barbers Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Fulshear wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Goliad on the 16th. As for Barbers Hill, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Deer Park on the 19th.
