Baseball Recap: Campbell Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Conant, Campbell was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Hopkinton Hawks by a score of 10-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for Campbell in their matchups with Hopkinton: they've now won four in a row.

Nate Federico made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Federico was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Braydon White, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Michael Grace was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Campbell's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hopkinton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Campbell will face off against Belmont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hopkinton, they will square off against Hillsboro-Deering at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hillcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
