Volleyball Recap: White River Valley Wolverines vs. Springs Valley Blackhawks
White River Valley lost against Springs Valley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines lost 3-0 to the Blackhawks.
While White River Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-22.
Hailey Grover paced White River Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Grover got some help from Evelyn Abrams and her 20 assists. Maddie Edmondson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Maddie Carnes was the offensive standout of the match as she hit 61.5% for eight kills and 17 digs and four aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 26 games she's played dating back to last season.
White River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Springs Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.
