Volleyball Recap: Wyoming Area Comes Up Short

Wyoming Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Delaware Valley. Wyoming Area was not able to make up for their loss to Delaware Valley from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Wyoming Area was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Delaware Valley's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-14, 25-22.

Taylor Gashi paced Wyoming Area's offense, picking up six kills. Gashi got some help from Ava Boyle and her nine assists. Aubrey Lewis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Wyoming Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Delaware Valley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wyoming Area will face off against rival Dallas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Delaware Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Pittston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
