Soccer Game Preview: Cape Coral vs. Palmetto Ridge

The Cape Coral Seahawks will challenge the Palmetto Ridge Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Coral has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Palmetto Ridge will come in with three straight victories.

Cape Coral came up short against Oasis on Monday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Sharks are ranked 143rd).

Meanwhile, Palmetto Ridge kept a clean sheet against LaBelle on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cowboys/Cowgirls.

Darness Garcia and Josue Malaga scored both of Palmetto Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Palmetto Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those six matchups. As for Cape Coral, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15-2.
