Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bendle

Bendle hadn't done well against Beecher recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bendle Tigers snuck past the Beecher Buccaneers with a 69-63 victory. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Bendle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Mattis led the charge by going 8 for 14 on his way to 20 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Juma Mkakile, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Bendle's record now sits at 5-1. As for Beecher, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Bendle will head out to take on Owosso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beecher, they will host Nouvel Catholic Central at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st.
