Baseball Recap: Glen Rock Starts Season with Victory at Home

Glen Rock took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Emerson Cavaliers as they made off with a 12-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

J Spitaleri was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Andy Arrighi was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Emerson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Glen Rock will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Wood-Ridge at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Emerson, they will take on St. Mary at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
