Softball Recap: Tulelake Honkers vs. Hayfork Timberjacks

In what's become a running theme this season, Tulelake gave their fans yet another huge win in Thursday's second game. They were the clear victor by a 16-4 margin over the Hayfork Timberjacks. Winning may never get old, but Tulelake sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Tulelake got a massive performance out of Carli Orr, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Paola Sanchez was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Tulelake pushed their record up to 6-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs per game. As for Hayfork, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tulelake will face off against Lost River at 2:00 p.m. in Monday's first game. As for Hayfork, they will be staying on the road in Monday's first game to face off against Princeton at 1:00 p.m.
