Mansfield waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Taunton Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mansfield walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.

Mansfield's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Taunton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mansfield will square off against rival Canton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Taunton is set to take on their familiar foe Milford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
