Baseball Game Preview: Kiefer Trojans vs. Morris Eagles

The Kiefer Trojans will square off against the Morris Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kiefer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Kiefer came out on top against Mannford on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Trojans walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Pirates. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

The team relied heavily on Phillip Crabtree, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daxton Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morris). They never let Summit Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday. Morris not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14, 2025 (when they won 16-3).

Morris' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Kiefer, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Kiefer skirted past Morris 4-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
