League recap: Estancia extends undefeated streak to four games

Estancia (15-8, 10-3) has won four games in a row, Orange Coast's longest active win streak. Two of those wins came in the past week, includinga 6-2 victory over Saddleback.

Behind a 1-1 record over the past week, Costa Mesa made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 923 to 891.

Calvary Chapel's pitching staff was best in the league in terms of hits allowed, with just three over the past week. On the year, Calvary Chapel has allowed only 95 hits.

Estancia's Ben Beck led the league with seven hits this week. His 24 hits for the year are fourteenth in the league, and he boasts a .343 batting average.



Calvary Chapel's Joseph Raus threw seven shutout innings in a 9-5 win over Costa Mesa on May 1, 2012. He struck out seven, allowing two hits.

He rounded out his day with six runs batted in and two runs scored.
