Basketball Recap: Midlakes Takes a Loss

Midlakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Lyons Lions 58-29. While losing is never fun, the Screaming Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Lions are ranked 136th).

Midlakes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Lyons, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Midlakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lyons, they will challenge Gananda Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lyons knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Gananda Central likes a good challenge.
