While Wiseburn- Da Vinci didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past the Venice Gondoliers 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Gondoliers: they've now won three in a row.

Deklen Emmersen tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over 7.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Peyton Tate, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Venice, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
